Moving from the Previous Flow Editor

The previous Flow editor organised settings into six tabs: Settings, Triggers, Filters, Actions, Email, and Info.

The current export builder shows the whole flow on one page. Start with the old tab you remember, then use the tables below to find the equivalent section or action.

Settings Tab

Previous editor settingCurrent builder location
Name, description, or tagsChoose the edit icon beside the flow name.
ActiveChoose Settings, then use Flow is active.
Do not show filter review before manual runChoose Settings, then use Run immediately without reviewing filters.
Data typeShown beside the flow name. It is fixed by the template used to create the flow.
TimezoneIn When should this flow run?, choose Edit schedule.
Email notificationsIn Where should the finished file go?, choose Edit delivery and file settings, then use Email delivery.
Template app or log levelChoose Settings, then expand Technical settings. This section is only available to Slynk administrators.

Triggers Tab

Previous editor settingCurrent builder location
Manual or scheduled runningIn When should this flow run?, choose Edit schedule.
Schedule frequency, day, or timeChoose Edit schedule, then configure the scheduled run.
Working hoursChoose Edit schedule, open the scheduled run, then enable Only run during working hours.

Filters Tab

Filter rulesIn Which records should be included?, choose Edit filters.
Match all or any filtersChoose Edit filters, then use How rules work together.
Compare with the value from another fieldChoose Edit filters, then expand Advanced comparison in the rule.
Add several filter fieldsChoose Filter field selector on the builder page.

Actions Tab

The previous Actions tab contained several parts of an export. They now appear in the order you would normally review them.

Column orderUse the up and down controls in the export field table.
Transform, round, or format a fieldChoose Configure beside the field, then expand Advanced settings.
Row sorting, totals, counts, or summary rowsIn How should the rows be organised?, choose Edit row order and totals.
File format or file nameIn Where should the finished file go?, choose Edit delivery and file settings.
Datetime in the file name, header row, split files, zip, or skip empty filesChoose Edit delivery and file settings, then expand Advanced file settings.
Email, FTP, or Google Sheets deliveryChoose Edit delivery and file settings, then select the required delivery destination.

Email Tab

The previous Email tab is now inside the delivery settings because it only applies when the export is sent by email.

Subject, Reply-To email, From name, body, or signatureExpand Email content and enable Customise email.

If Email content is not shown, select Send as email attachment as the delivery destination first.

Info Tab

Activation and Page Actions

The controls that appeared beneath every old tab are now split between the builder header and footer.

View SummaryChoose View summary at the bottom of the builder.
RunChoose Run at the bottom of the builder.
SimulateOpen More actions, then choose Simulate.
Request ReviewOpen More actions, then choose Request review.
Save changesChoose Save changes at the bottom of the builder.

Saving Changes

Saving a side panel updates the builder, but it does not save the flow itself. Choose Save changes at the bottom of the builder when you are finished.

If you try to run or simulate a flow with unsaved changes, Flow asks you to save before continuing.
