Product validation and matching
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
Multiple Woo products linked to EposNow product | More than one WooCommerce product is linked to the same Epos Now product, so we do not know which Woo product should update Epos Now. | If all products are meant to stay linked, tick ignore product update on all except the one that should drive updates. Otherwise fix the linking in the product linker. |
More than 1 product found | Before creating a product on Epos Now, we found multiple matching products on Epos Now and could not tell which one should be linked. | Open the product linker and link the correct Epos Now product to the WooCommerce product. |
The field Sku cannot contain any of the following : \\ ' # > < | Epos Now does not allow certain characters in the SKU field. | Update the SKU on WooCommerce so it does not use those characters. |
The field Name cannot end with '/' | Epos Now does not allow the product name to end with /. This can happen if a long name is truncated and the last character becomes a slash. | Update the Epos Now product title field on WooCommerce so the final character is not /. |
The Name field is required | The product could not be created on Epos Now because no valid name was sent. | Set a product name on WooCommerce. |
Invalid Additional Suppliers | The linked Epos Now product has an additional supplier assigned that no longer exists on Epos Now. | Open the product in the Epos Now back office, remove the invalid supplier, then let the sync retry. |
Cannot specify unit of sale without a volume of sale | This is usually a legacy Epos Now product where the unit of sale exists but the volume of sale does not. | Open the linked Epos Now product and either set the volume of sale or remove the unit of sale. |
Size and ColourId cannot both be null for Variant Products | This is usually a legacy Epos Now variant product missing the size or colour data now required by Epos Now. | Either fix the size/colour on Epos Now, or unlink/delete the Epos Now product and let WooCommerce create it again. |
